Dr. Yongze Song, RGS Fellow, is a Lecturer and Doctoral Supervisor at Curtin University, Australia.

He has expertise in developing geospatial methods and implementing Earth data for sustainable infrastructure. He developed a series of geospatial methods and 6 R software packages with over 75,000 downloads globally for understanding geographical and spatial data. He published over 40 peer-reviewed journal articles in the fields, including articles in 35 Q1 journals and 2 ESI highly cited papers. He is a recipient of 12 awards at international and national levels, such as the Global Young Scientist Award, Global Top 1% Peer Review Awards in Geosciences, and the Australian National Location Data First Prize.

He is an Editorial Board Member of “GIScience & Remote Sensing” (IF 6.238) and “Scientific Reports” (IF 4.379). He is a Managing Guest Editor of “International Journal of Applied Earth Observation and Geoinformation” (IF 5.933), “Remote Sensing” (IF 4.848), and “Sustainable Earth“. He serves as a Session Chair, Scientific Committee Member, Keynote Speaker, or Special Issue Coordinator for international conferences IAMG, AAG, AGILE, WBC, IPC, IWEG, ICCSTE, etc. He serves for over 30 peer-reviewed journals as a reviewer. He was invited to present more than 40 research seminars at universities and industries globally.
